UPDATED MARCH 2024

We are now nearly 3 years on since the Village approved the Neighbourhood Plan.

Wiltshire Council are consulting on the Wiltshire Local Plan that, once approved, will replace the current Core Strategy and will run to 2038.

There will be much to keep in mind and to consider with any new Wiltshire and National Policy and how these might impact on the Broad Chalke Neighbourhood Plan.

So the Parish Council has now started a process to refresh our Plan. It's an opportunity to consider what has changed in the village and the influence on us of the wider national and global environment in which we live. But, fundamentally it's about what is right for Broad Chalke and to achieve this in a refreshed Plan, it is important to get residents views. You can contact any Parish Councillor, the Clerk or attend a Parish Council meeting which are held each second Wednesday of the month in the village hall at 7.00pm.

The current Neighbourhood Plan received overwhelming support in the Referendum in July 2021 and was adopted by Wiltshire Council as part of its Local Plan to 2026.

Broad Chalke Parish Council  oversee and monitor Plan implementation. A huge thanks to Ashley Truluck and the Neighbourhood Plan Team for the five years of work to achieve 'Made' Plan.
