JULY 2022 UPDATE
Parish Council on 13 July has been cancelled. All relevant business will be moved to the August 2022 meeting.
COUNCILLOR VACANCY
The Council has a vacancy for a Parish Councillor. The Council would like to co-opt an interested person from the village. If you are interested in learning more please contact the Clerk.
BROAD CHALKE EMERGENCY PLAN
We have been reviewing the Plan and learning from some of the issues encountered in recent storms. If you feel you could assist as a volunteer should we have an emergency situation in the village/Chalke Valley, please contact the Clerk.
CHALKE VALLEY FETE AND PRODUCE SHOW- SATURDAY 6 AUGUST
An afternoon of traditional village fete fun and activities, games, BBQ, Fancy Dress, Morris Dancing, Classic Cars, Bar, teas and cake and the hotly contested produce show for the best home baker, vegetables, fruit and even a limerick competition. FREE ENTRY. Saturday 6 August 2022 from 2.00pm at the Chalke Valley Sports Centre.
Local Artisan produce stall.

LOW LANE FOOTPATH
The Council has now secured half the funding for this project which is a key element of the Neighbourhood Plan that was unanimously adopted in the Referendum in July 2021. The balance of funds is now being put together. Anticipated start on site will be late summer/early autumn. There will be some disruption to access during the works. Full details nearer the time.
PARISH PRECEPT
The Council's for 2022/2023 is an increase from £9,372 to £10,652. On a Band D property this represents an increase of £3.53/month.
ANNUAL GOVERNANCE AND ACCOUNTING STATEMENT- The latest Statement and Internal Auditors Report can be found on the Annual Governance Statement page. The 2021/22 Accounts are available for inspection for the Statutory period of 13 June to 22 July 2022.
