On this page you will find the draft Neighbourhood Plan (in various parts); and the draft Housing Needs Survey conducted in 2016. But first, a short preamble which was published in the Broad Sheet village magazine in August:
The Village Design Statement
The village design statement guides any development of the village, and covers both inside and outside the official Conservation Area. It will be the basis on which planning will be determined and lists (for example) the styles of building which would be acceptable, and iconic views which need to be preserved.
Housing Needs Survey
This survey was conducted in 2016 and analyses the need for affordable housing in Broad Chalke parish, as well as a local need of homes for people in their golden years to downsize into (previously identified from our community survey). It is the basis on which we will move forward with delivering affordable homes for local people under the vehicle of a Community Land Trust (CLT). This is the final draft.
